Marvin's has become a legend in Myrtle Beach.  Operating since 1975 as a Taco Stand on the Boulevard changing to Marvin's Food & Games in April '79 and moving to the present location in 1983.

Marvin's is owned and operated since 1975 by Marvin E. McHone.  A brief history shows Marvin, a native of Asheville, North Carolina, arriving in Myrtle Beach in 1970 as a loan officer for Peoples Bank of South Carolina.  In 1979, Marvin left his position as Loan Manager with the bank to operate his restaurant full time.  "Marvin's" has gone from a four month a year taco stand to a year-round restaurant and sports bar.

Many visitors and locals alike repeatedly return to Marvin's year after year.  Marvin values his friends (customers) from all the U.S., Canada, England, Scotland, Australia, Russia and numerous other foreign countries.  He continues to play a part in the business whether it is cooking, serving, cleaning or laughing with friends.

Marvin's goal has always been that Marvin's be the place where one can have all the fun they want while not infringing on the fun of others.
